California Dance Institute (CDI) is the newest affiliate of Jacques d'Amboise's renowned National Dance Institute (NDI), an in-school arts education program founded in the belief that the arts have a unique ability to transform children's lives. The 29-year-old NDI program has won the hearts of educators worldwide because it delivers consistent, structured arts activities by professional artists trained in a clear teaching methodology that achieves results. The program's phenomenal success has led to national recognition, including the 1995 Kennedy Center Honors, the MacArthur Genius Award, and the Academy Award-winning documentary He Makes Me Feel Like Dancin'.

All of CDI's dance teachers are professional artists and have completed the rigorous NDI teacher training, taught by master teachers from New York. All of our accompanists are professional pianists trained to work in a live classroom environment.

CDI's Advisory Board meets 4 times per year. Our distinguished 13-member Board includes community and national leaders from such diverse fields as education, finance, and the arts.
