How can I get on SWAT?
SWAT is by invitation only. Students who show excellence in attitude, effort, energy, focus, and behavior during in-school classes are invited to join the SWAT team at each school. If you are invited to become a SWAT member, you attend weekly practice after school where you learn more challenging choreography. In addition to performing in your school’s culmination performance, you perform in CDI’s Event of the Year show in June, along with the SWAT teams from other schools in a professional theater with lights, costumes, and a live band!
If you do not make it onto SWAT your first year, do not worry. You can try out again next year.
Already on SWAT?
If you've already been selected as a SWAT member, we congratulate you on all of the hard work and commitment! Remember, being on SWAT requires a lot of dedication and teamwork. Rehearsals are mandatory. Everyone is working toward the Event of the Year (EoY) show and your team needs you to be present at every rehearsal. |
